On Falling Out Of Love

2cbf1871a0d5d1345dc9941dc29ff9e7“Cuz when a woman’s fed up
(No matter how you beg, no)
It ain’t nothing you can do about it
(Nothing you can do about it)
It’s like running out of love
(No matter what you say, no)
And then it’s too late to talk about it
(Too late to talk about it)” ~ R. Kelly “When A Woman’s Fed Up

Most women love hard, we love so much so that when we know things are not good we hold on even tighter. Sometimes it takes a drastic thing to happen for us to finally be fed up and leave.

I remember talking to an ex trying to get some clarity as to why things ended the way they did. His answer was this, “I wasn’t ready for me. I felt I was holding you back, so I had to do what I had to, to let you go and move on from me.” This puzzled me to some degree, but then I understood, that I was gonna fight for that relationship to the point where I would end up regretting it all. So even though the manner in which things hurt be to my core, I could now move on and find peace.

Now when it comes to love, I know my limits in which I will take things. But those lyrics and that picture speak truth. When we get to the point when we are no longer in love with you. We have exhausted all avenues and we just need to walk away. The love is just not there anymore and anything you can and say will not matter to us.

No one wants to be the bad guy, but sometimes to keep the friendship in tact you need to make a clean break. But how do you do something like that without hurting someone in the worst way possible?

I know I wrote this from a females prospective, I would love to know how men feel and react on this topic. Drop me a line….
